Its been 7 days I woke up on this deserted land. I’m assuming this is the planet Mars. It’s so red out here. Everything is red. The rocks, the mountains, and even the air is red. Well, technically there isn’t anything other than these rocks in here. No wonder why they call this the red planet.<\/p>\n
I have managed to seal a broken compartment of my spacecraft. This has been my home for the last 7 days. Sitting here staring at the walls. Will I be spending rest of my life locked up in this broken spacecraft! The thought of it makes me scared. I’m growing concerned about the duration of my supplies. This morning, I had a sandwich, but it didn’t quite match the taste I remember from Earth. I’m beginning to feel a longing for my home planet.<\/p>\n
If only I’d brought a book with me. Or if spacecrafts just came equipped with books. It would have been nice to have some reading material. It would have been like having a dialogue with someone, instead of just an endless soliloquy.<\/p>\n
You’re a great listener though, Mars. You too Rocky. I worry I might be getting on your nerves sometimes. You can’t live with someone for god knows how many days and not bother them occasionally, right? Like, Jumbo ( I named my spaceship Jumbo ), you do leak a little bit. Not a lot! I don’t mind it most of the time. Truly, I don’t.<\/p>\n
And you, Rocky. What can I even say? You’re the most selfless friend I have here. I tried at first to keep the time with Sandy, but you get ten tally marks in her and she lets the breeze smooth them all away. Yeah, we’re not friends Sandy. I know you’re listening.<\/p>\n
At least you kind of carry the conversation, Breeze. Or maybe you’re asking me to shut up. All I ever hear from you is “Shh shhh shhh” back and forth all day and night. It’s almost like music sometimes.<\/p>\n
Actually, you’re right. With the two of you Sand and Rock and Jumbo back there as my shelter and support, I don’t need a book. It’s impossible to be lonely with friends like you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
