My friend recently posed a profound and thought-provoking query to me: What occupies the minds of common men in general? What subjects do they contemplate? Initially, this question appeared to be deceptively simple. What permeates the thoughts of people in general? Surely, it must revolve around their own lives, careers, possessions, and familial ties. However, as I delve deeper into this inquiry, I realize that these musings are commonplace, shared by the vast majority of individuals, both ordinary and extraordinary alike. In my own introspection, I jokingly said, “I think about how deep the ocean is.”<\/p>\n
I used to perceive myself as being above the mundane thoughts that consume the masses, as someone extraordinary. And as I ponder, I find myself incapable of making even the slightest impact on the vast tapestry of the world. My existence is that of a tiny fish in the boundless ocean. Aimlessly roaming in search of sustenance, its sole objective being to survive another day, forever vulnerable to being swallowed whole by the relentless predators of the deeps. The world, akin to the ocean, teems with voracious bloodhound sharks, ceaselessly hungry and primed to devour anything that crosses their path. And here I am, naively learning to swim, unknowingly awaiting my inevitable consumption by the ravenous creatures surrounding me.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, I refuse to accept my status as a mere fish, one whose singular purpose is to serve as nourishment for larger, more formidable creatures. Instead, I embrace the persona of a survivor, resiliently evading the clutches of sharks, fearlessly navigating against the currents of the ocean. I am the one who glides through fierce hurricanes, rides the celestial tidal waves, and effortlessly races alongside the swiftest speedboats, carving my own path wherever I venture.<\/p>\n
This vast and unforgiving ocean is my home, and it is here that I must battle. A battle for survival, for love, and for my very existence. I will not succumb to the unquenchable hunger of voracious whales, nor will I yield my course for the passing ships. The submarines will have to chart an alternate route, while the sharks must compromise on their perpetual craving.
